Cyber Bullying : What impact does it have on Families?
Generation ‘Z’ (also known as generation ‘M’), the "internet generation", are facing an old enemy in a new form, "cyberspace bullying". This website was created for the purpose of recording the findings from conducting an inquiry into cyber bullying and the effects it has on individuals (in particular adolescents) and their family. Anyone who has access to communications technology is at risk of being subjected to cyber bullying and the detrimental consequences that may arise from such bullying. While most of these incidents occur at home, the problems do spill over to the classroom, making cyber bullying an issue teachers cannot ignore (Scolastic, 2014). Therefore as a pre- service teacher it is imperative to have a true understanding of how and why this occurs and the means to help combat it.
